Waking up Early to Workout vs. Sleeping In

As I’m becoming a master of being able to maintain enough energy to function from 5:45 a.m - 11:00 p.m. EVERY day of the week with only one small cup of coffee in the a.m, tea in the afternoon, & a very strict NO caffeine after 5 p.m….let me give you these words of advice.

Waking up extra-early to get a workout in before you start the day will ALWAYS make you feel better. You can choose to keep making excuses or you can choose to kick your own ass.

Well

Okay…three day break :P

My deadlift form needs a lot of work. I’m hyperextending my back & rounding. Not cool. I’m going to deload all of my 5/3/1 maxes to 90% & run the program with OHP included…

I do plan on running another SJ cycle, but actually benching 4x per week.

Guh. Back hurts.

WIW #4 - Day 21

I’ve been helping my boyfriend move into his new place over the last few days - hence no gym and lack of activity on here :) The two of us emptied his apartment in 2 hours…and when 80% of that is boxes of books, it’s quite the work out. I ate 2 lbs of chicken wings for dinner & a poutine for lunch that day because I was totally exhausted and needed to refuel. Maybe not the best option (feeling a little bloated, also as shark week approaches) but I love dem chicken wings.

Okay, so I just made my lunch with these - Tofu Shirataki noodle substitute. It’s made with part of the yam plant + tofu and it’s only 40 calories, 6g of carbs for the entire bag (About 2 cups volume-wise of pasta). It also takes maybe 5 minutes to prepare :)
I sauteed some onions & 4 oz. of chicken breast with some of Newman’s Own tomato sauce. Added a sprinkle of parmesan cheese and it tasted just like Chicken parmesean :D Noodle texture was actually pretty decent. If you want to eat a giant serving of pasta - check these out. Hungry-girl also has a bunch of low-calorie pasta recipies with the product.
The only thing I will warn you of - they’re stored in this very fishy-smelling water solution that you have to rinse off. It can be a little gross immediately (I was wondering what the package meant when it said “natural aroma”) but it washed away fairly quickly. Once you nuke the noodles for a minute & pat them dry there’s no more odor. 
They are also vegan & gluten-free for folk who can’t eat pasta.

BodyFat % counts for something…

I was looking through BTFC competitors and came across two entries similar to my stats:

F/5’4.5”/171 lbs

Even though I weigh maybe 5 lbs more and 5 lbs less than either entry, my waist is smaller + booty and breasts are larger. 175 lbs doesn’t look too bad on me (even though I’ve been feeling “fat” today) which is why I’m excited to see what I look like at 158 lbs :) I know that’s heavier than average for 5’4” women…but I have a feeling all that muscle I’ve built will show through pretty nicely ;)

Food went well today. Tracking my fiber now :) Had about 2L of water today, maybe a bit more + some peppermint green tea with mint before my workout. Bought a nice high-fiber cereal (It’s actually really yummy) to keep my digestive system digesting lol. Also bought a package of those Tofu-Shirataki noodles? Going to experiment with them tomorrow. 
Macros were spot on, high carbs for a work out day :) I probably should eat more…but if I do I won’t be hungry for bacon in the morning :3 Story of my life.
